so we stayed for 3 nights and the location was realy nice, just a short walk to the river and town. the staff were super friendly and helpful, which made our stay way better. we liked the pool area, perfect for chillin out and there's a cool terrace to enjoy a drink. our room was cozy and had a lovely view, just dont expect it to be super old school like other paradores. breakfast had a decent selection, enough to start the day right.
but the food options for dinner were kinda limited and the walk back to the hotel after a long day felt steep.

The room was spacious and immaculate, with a comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. Cocktails in the outdoor area were delightful, providing a perfect escape under the shade. breakfast had a limited selection, making it feel a bit underwhelming for such a nice venue. the dining room felt cramped during meal times, detracting slightly from the experience.

The panoramic views from the terrace are absolutely stunning, offering a perfect backdrop of the medieval cathedral and the valleys of Portugal. The breakfast spread is quite impressive, showcasing regional ingredients that gave us a taste of local cuisine.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not operational during our stay in the warmer months, leading to uncomfortable room temperatures. We also found the swimming pool was still in disrepair since we were looking forward to a dip. some room sizes felt cramped, and there were no coffee-making facilities, which is a bit of a letdown for a hotel at this level. The process for connecting to WiFi was confusing, and we experienced delays in meal service during peak hours, detracting from the overall experience.

excellent staff but breakfast could improve
The staff provided exceptional service, quickly preparing our room even though we arrived early. The superior double room offered generous space and was well-furnished, making our stay comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden view during our stay, which added a lovely touch to our experience.
Breakfast options felt somewhat limited for a hotel of this caliber.
